Eclipsing Binaries Minima Database
version 0.61
Dec 19 2002
This database contains times of minima for eclipsing binaries. The
current sources of the data are:
-
The Cracow Observatory card catalogue
contains times of minima and other information on 2000 eclipsing binaries. The
data has been collected at the observatory since the early 1920s. Currently,
our group is working on making the data accessible
on-line, though we also add new data. At the moment, data for about 1200 stars
are available, but they are not complete yet.
-
AAVSO published minima data are
available here in electronic form, by kind permission.
-
BBSAG data are available
here, too.
We plan to merge data from other sources.
Please feel free to send any
comments or suggestions related to the database. We plan to make it possible
to get all the data by ftp as a file. If you have a preferred format for such
file please email us about it and we'll try to prepar it for you.
You can also access the Cracow data through
the Besancon Multiple
Stars Database.
Every year, light elements and ephemerides of eclipsing binaries based on
these data are published in the "Rocznik Astronomiczny
Obserwatorium Krakowskiego".
