Travel Information

There are several ways to get to Zakopane:

A. Via Kraków

  1. Fly to Kraków (Airport Balice).
  2. Get from airport to Main Train & Bus Station in Krakow (in polish Dworzec Główny) by:
    • train (ticket 10 PLN, about 20 min) or,
    • bus No. 292 (timetable) or No. 208 (timetable)
      ticket 5 PLN or 2.50 PLN for students (about 40 min) or,
    • taxi.
  3. At Main Train & Bus Station you can:
    • Go to Regional Bus Station (in polish RDA) and take a bus to Zakopane (about 2h) or,
    • take a train to Zakopane, but it takes quite a long time even 3-5h.

B. Via Warszawa

  1. Fly to Warszawa (Airport Okęcie).
  2. Go to main Warsaw train station called Warszawa Centralna by: public or private buses or taxi - it takes about 20 min.
  3. There is a direct train connection Warszawa Centralna-Zakopane (see timetable) it takes about 7-8h.

C. Via Poprad (SK)

HINT: Please note that August in Poland is a peak holiday season, so trains and buses are crowded, and there might be some delays in timetable.
